10.

Another city, another hike. Only this one wasn't near as cool as our trek up the Blue Mountains last week in Sydney. Cool views at the top, but we might have enjoyed them more if we rode the bus. That afternoon we spend out time on a hunt for wifi and attempting to make plans for the weekend. After unsuccessful attempts at both. we all got together to go to a cricket match! Prior to walking to the stadium Anoop (also affectionately called Anooooop Dogg, Captain Anoop, and Fearless leader) gave us a quick rundown on how cricket is played. I had literally no concept of the game so it was quite a treat to actually understand what was going on. I also kept thinking when people were saying "wicket" they more meaning to say "cricket." Note: a wicket is a critical component of the game of cricket and is, in fact, another word entirely. My confusion lessened. While at the match, I found that I caught on fairly quickly and really enjoyed watching it. Well, for about two hours. Then boredom set in. As most of you know, cricket is verrrrrry long game. We went to version of the game that was much, much shorts than the games that last days. DAYS. Even still, I loved it for only about two hours. However, I am thrilled to know now what cricket it is and I can probably successfully explain it to you in 4th grade terms if anyone is interested.
