Who knew it would be so easy to watch the Auburn game here in Sydney? Granted, we were eating lunch on the first day of the new year instead of enjoying the game in the evening of the 31st as the rest of you were. Still, we were all pleasantly surprised when we called up a bar here and asked them if they would play it and they said they already were. Crazy, right? So yesterday (January 1st) we watched AU dominate in some football. Always a great way to start a morning. Afterwards, we headed down to Bondi Beach. Remember when I said that New Years Eve at the harbor was packed? Apparently that is a theme here is Sydney. This beach was overflowing with people. Bursting, actually. We were able to find a bit of open sand, enjoy the Australian sunshine, and most importantly- people watch. Bondi Beach is the most ideal spot for watching people from all over the world in bathing suits that don’t fit. Check Andrew’s blog here for some great/creepy/inappropriate pictures. Gold.
